I left my heart in Ben Francisco. Now that he’s a bit closer geographically maybe I can get it back.

I cannot believe that this trade happened. At first glance, the Phillies absolutely stole Cliff Lee from the Indians. If this is all that it took, I don’t understand how 10 other teams weren’t in talks for him. As far as I know, none of the prospects involved were given higher than a B from John Sickels before the season started. And I thought I hated the Phils before this… :)

Josh, you are right in saying that the Phillies stole Lee from the Indians.
The author at MetsBlog.com wrote that the Phils gave up 4 of their 5 best prospects. WRONG.! Carrasco USED to be a top prospect, but has struggled mightily in the minors for the last 1 1/2 years. Jason Donald had a stellar year last season, but has been injured and hasn’t done much with the bat this season. Lou Marson was the No. 3 propsect in the Phils organization at the start of the season, and has done well overall, but isn’t a MUST-HAVE prospect. He’s no Joe Mauer. Jason Knapp is 18-years-old and can fire bullets. He’s still 4-5 years away from the bigs.
The Phils got a Cy Young winner and a right-handed power bat for the bench. The time to win is RIGHT NOW. And, if the Phillies really wanted to do it, they could absolutely trade for Roy Halladay by giving up Drabek, Happ, Taylor and Brown. Not likely, but possible. lol.
