Phillies vs. Marlins
The Phillies snapped out of a scoreless streak beating the Marlins in a score of 3-2. The Marlins struck first scoring 2 runs in the 3rd on a throwing error by pitcher Kyle Kendrick. Â In the 4th Raul Ibanez tripled scoring Ryan Howard to get the Phils on the board. Â The Phillies scored again in the 5th and then again in the 7th to take the lead.
Kyle Kendrick got the win pitching 6 innings giving up 5 hits with 1 strikeout.  Chris Volstad got the lose pitching 6.1 innings giving up 7 hits with 6 strikeouts.  Jose Contreras got his 3rd save for the Phillies with 2 strikouts pitching the 9th.

Braves vs. Pirates
The Braves beat the Pirates in a score of 7-3. Â The Braves started early scoring 4 runs in the first inning. Â They had a 5-0 lead but the Pirates scored in the top of the 4th. Â Chipper Jones extended the Braves lead to 7-1 on a single to center field. Â The Pirates scored 2 more runs in the 8th inning but it wasn’t enough to come back from.
Derek Lowe got the win pitching 7 innings giving up 4 hits, 2 strikeouts, and 1 run. Â For the Pirates Zack Duke got the lose pitching 5.1 innings giving up 12 hits, 4 strikeouts, Â and 7 runs.
Nationals vs. Padres
The Nationals beat the Padres in a score of 5-3 playing out west. Â The Nats scored 3 runs in the 4th inning on a 3 run shot by Josh Willingham. Â In the 7th inning Ian Desmond hit a solo shot for the Nats with the score now 4-1. Â In the bottom of the 9th the Padres threatened but fell 2 runs short.
John Lannan was the winner pitching 7 innings giving up 7 hits and 2 runs while Clayton Richard took the lose pitching 7 runs giving up 4 hits and 4 runs. Â Matt Capps got the save after leaving the bases loaded and giving up 4 hits and 1 run.
Mets vs. Brewers
The Mets lost to the Brewers in a score of 2-0. Â The game was all pitching until Mets reliever Ryota Igrashi gave up a 2 run homer to Corey Hart with a walk off home run.
Johan Santana pitched 8 innings giving up just 3 hits and had 5 strike outs. Â Yovani Gallardo got the win pitching 9 innings giving up 8 hits and had 7 strike outs. Â Igrashi took the loss for the Mets.
