The Phillies agreed to minor league contracts with the following players on Wednesday:

DeWayne Wise: Batted .225 with two homers and 11 RBIs for the White Sox last season. His claim to fame came in the ninth inning of Mark Buehrle’s perfect game. Wise made the greatest catch I’ve ever seen (no hyperbole), considering the circumstances.

Wilson Valdez: Batted .256 with seven RBIs in 86 at-bats with the Mutts. Was the heart and soul of this year’s team, in fact.

Andy Tracy: Minor league lifer. Never goes away.

Paul Hoover: Wet his pants when he delivered the walkoff infield single in the final game of the regular season.
